Vlad
Last week, two prisoners escaped from the prison in which Vlad is incarcerated. I talked with Vika Sunday and she said that they don’t seem to have clamped down as hard as everyone feared on the rest of the prisoners. But today, we got news that Vlad has been sent back into the part of the prison area where it is dangerous for him to be in. He has been in a program where certain prisoners work with the prison system and get certain privileges that go with it. (He has been working in the prison warehouse and store, I think.) These prisoners are hated by the other prisoners and considered traitors. A few months ago, a prisoner was sent out of the program back into the normal prison and beaten to death by the regular prisoners. So there is a lot of concern for Vlad’s safety right now. If you would join your prayers to ours, we’d appreciate it.
Vika is fairly distraught. Pray for her too, that this would be a faith building time. She has been coming along to church which has been real good to see, but her faith is new.
